Karimoku x Medicom Toy 1000% Layered Wood Bearbrick

The latest iteration to Medicom Toy‘s Bearbrick series sees the Peanuts estate collaborate with the Japanese toy manufacturer to produce a 400% rendition of iconic comic strip Peanuts’ Charlie Brown. Sizing up to 280 mm high, the Bearbrick is dressed in the lead cartoon character’s signature zig-zag top and blue shorts, while also characterized by a small curl of hair at the front of its head. Priced at at ¥7,344 JPY (approximately $70 USD), the limited edition Bearbrick will be released in February 2015. Head to Medicom Toy now to pre-order the piece.

Japanese wood furniture firm Karimoku connects with Medicom Toy to produce an exclusive 1000% layered wood Bearbrick. Individually handcrafted with three shades of polished wood, each Bearbrick is specially made to order, weighing in at 30kg and standing at approximately 70cm high. Adding another unique layer to the extensive Bearbrick 1000% family, the exclusive Japanese-made collaboration between Karimoku and Medicom Toy serves as another must-have for collectors worldwide. Priced at ￥648,000 (approximately $6,000 USD), the Karimoku x Medicom Toy 100% Layered Wood Bearbrick is set to release first on October 24 at Bearbrick’s online store and will begin shipping out March 2015.

Medicom Toy’s latest UNKLE x Bearbrick collaboration features the artwork from music pioneer James Lavelle‘s exhibition “Daydreaming With…” Inspired by the idea to marry visual art and music, the artwork is influenced by the music of the renowned British electronic duo, UNKLE. This time in a gleaming black, the polished collectible is available now in both 100% and 400% versions at select stockists or via Medicom Toy.
