Nike will be closing out 2014 with a tonal, black on black release of Kobe’s latest signature sneaker model, the Nike Kobe 9 KRM EXT “Black Mamba.” The basketball shoe takes after Kobe’s metaphoric alter-ego, featuring compression forged scales across the shoe’s upper, identical to the body of a black mamba. The same scales are printed on the shoe’s insole as well. Further details include premium black leather along the shoe’s back heel and collar, and chrome inlays that have been inserted on the shoe’s midsole for a shiny, sleek finish. Retailing for $275 USD, the Nike Kobe 9 KRM EXT “Black Mamba” will launch on Nike’s online store this New Year’s Eve.
